"It all started with a single 'Zip!' and 'Zoom!' in my Tennessee garden. What began as a passion for capturing God’s smallest amazing creatures through high-speed photography has blossomed into Tinywing Tales."

Every piece of art at Tinywing Tales begins with a heartbeat. For over a decade at Audrey's Hummingbird Sanctuary, I have sat behind the lens waiting for that perfect 1/8000th of a second—the moment where a hummingbird’s blur becomes a crystal-clear portrait.

Our Process:

  • The Capture: Authentic, high-speed photography of the hundreds of birds that visit our sanctuary annually.
  • The Artistry: Each photo is digitally hand-painted and refined, removing the background to focus on the intricate, iridescent details of the bird.
  • The Mission: These designs become the stars of The Nectar Quest, teaching children that they, too, can be "Guardians" of the tiny wonders in their own backyards.
